Trying New Things - Do I Like This?

So I thought I would try going to a different location because I learned that you can go to any Jazzercise location whenever you want, no extra charge! My idea was based on feeling different environments and seeing if every class was the same and every instructor was the same. I did learn that although the songs do changes, what are called sets, if an instructor is doing a song at location A, the same routine will be done for that song at location B. Jazzercise has really focused on regulating this so that you can go to any location you want and you will no the moves to the songs. Now, do not get confused by this, it is not the same 10 or so songs every time, an instructor can mix and match old songs with new songs, and so there are hundreds of hundreds of options (if not thousands). When I spoke with the instructor about this, she was also talking to me about the "New Jazzercise" because Jazzercise has been trying to elevate themselves. The video created by Jazzercise Inc. should help you to understand what Jazzercise is now. I have not experienced the old Jazzercise but I have a feeling it is more in line with my original mindset that people who go to Jazzercise wear leotards and tights and look like they should be in an 80s movie, but maybe I am wrong, hopefully I will hear more about this next time.

Starting Out

Well it has begun, I went to my first Jazzercise class a couple of weeks ago. They were doing this October promotion where you could go to unlimited classes for free during the month of October. I used to do Zumba but decided it was not for me anymore. I always had this notion that Jazzercise was for old people (or a certain type of person, see picture below), but I was quickly mistaken. It was fun, there were a lot of people there, but not too many, and the instructor was really nice. They told me what to do to, when to do it, and soon there after the class was over, it seemed to just fly by. We did aerobics, strength, and a cool down, which is perfect because sometimes I really want someone else to tell me what to do and when to do it when it comes to exercise because otherwise I would say I am tired and just leave any other gym. I think I am going to like this class!
